Descriptive Essays:
Descriptive essays are about the description of something. The writer might describe a person, place, thing, or an event in detail. This type of essay is not only about describing a particular thing. It is often written in a way that it stimulates the sensory perception of the readers. A writer can produce an image through his words; he can tell that how something is. By producing a vivid description of something, writer involves the reader into the experience of that particular thing.
Compare/Contrast Essays:
In this type of essay, the writer discusses the similarities and differences between two things, people, places, events, etc. These essays are like expository essays, but the information given through these essay are in the form of comparison or differentiation.
Cause/Effect Essays:
These essays are also like expository essays, but the format is slightly different. The cause/effects essays are normally written in a way, which describes that why and how something happened, and what resulted from that particular thing. It tells about the cause of some event and the effects of that event.
